YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR WAY: CELEBRATING WOMEN'S DAY WITH SELF-DISCOVERY

"You don’t have to have it all figured out to embrace your womanhood. Just trust that every piece of your journey is molding you into the woman you’re meant to be", those wise words were said by Sarah Jakes Roberts. As we celebrate Women's Day today, it's easy to feel the weight of expectations—both from society and ourselves. For many, the idea of womanhood can seem like a distant goal, something that requires a certain level of achievement or maturity. But the truth is, womanhood isn't a destination we arrive at; it's a journey we're all on, each in our own unique way.

Pressure of Expectations

Today I have been wished "Happy Women's Day", and it has been hard for me to accept those because I have been a girl my whole life so it has been quite difficult to feel like a young woman. I don't even know much about what being a woman means, what it means being a woman in my 20s, and what it's going to mean when I grow even older. Society often puts pressure on girls to fit a certain image of what it means to be a woman. These expectations can make you feel like you’re not good enough or like you haven’t reached that point yet. It’s important to remember that everyone’s journey is different, and it’s okay to be where you are right now. So this blog is for those ladies who still don't know what it means, to remind us all that it's a journey.

The Process of Growing

Growing into womanhood is a process, not a final destination. It’s important to celebrate every step you take, no matter how small it might seem. Each moment of growth is a part of your unique journey. By acknowledging and appreciating these moments, you build confidence and recognize the value of your personal development. You cannot be who you want to be by trying to be another person. Self-discovery is all about understanding who you are and what makes you unique. It involves exploring your own values, strengths, and passions. This process helps you to appreciate your individuality and realize that your journey is special and personal. By focusing on self-discovery, you build confidence and find direction in your life, which is key to feeling fulfilled and true to yourself.

Embrace your Identity

One of the women I look up to for being a unique woman of God is Joyce Meyer. She is a prominent Christian author and speaker, who has shared her journey of overcoming personal struggles and finding her purpose in faith. Her path includes overcoming past traumas and using her experiences to inspire and help others through her ministry and teachings. My favorite book is her " Habits of a Godly Woman". Joyce says, "God created you to be a unique expression of His love. Embrace your individuality and trust that He has a special purpose for your life." That quote has reminded me of how special I am, that God has made me different and I am a different young woman who has her own different journey of womanhood.

Remember, you are uniquely made and have your own special qualities. Embrace who you are, and trust that God has a special purpose for your life. Your individuality is a gift, and it’s important to celebrate it as you grow and continue your journey.
